PROGRAMS

Monthly Events

The Friendship Circle runs monthly, inclusive programs open to any child/youth with a disability. Our volunteers welcome each family and the children have fun doing arts and crafts, getting balloons made or doing other activities.

The monthly FC events are partially funded by the Department of Children, Seniors and Social Development – Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Postcards from Pals

Friendship Circle NL is bringing a fun new program right to your mailbox! Postcards from Pals is a pen pal program that will pair every child with a volunteer who will write them a letter at least once a month. You are free to write back to your pen-pal if you’d like, too! This is open to all ages.

Friends @ Home

The weekly Friends @ Home program, the acclaimed hallmark of The Friendship Circle, has teenage volunteers spending quality time with children with special needs in the environment the kids are most comfortable and familiar with: their own homes.

Finally, enthusiastic play dates for these most deserving kids! A unique bond is established between the volunteers and their special friends.
The range of activities shared can be anything from cookie baking, game playing, and singing to arts n’ crafts, story time, and hide-and-seek, or, just about anything fun!

Friends @ Home is partially funded by the Department of Children, Seniors and Social Development – Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
